Career: 1981-83 Participation in research project "Inventarisierung der slowenischen Volkssprache in Kärnten - Inventory of the Slovene dialects in Carinthia" at the  Institute of Slavic Studies at the University of Graz, from 1984 Univ.-Ass. at the Institute of Slavic Studies at the University of Klagenfurt, from 1995 Ass.-Prof., from 1984 Participation in research project "Erforschung der slowenischen Dialekte in Kärnten – Research on Slovene dialects in Carinthia" at the Institute of Slavic Studies at the University of Klagenfurt, from 1994 project leader of the above project, from 1994 leader of the film project "Dokumentation alter Volkskultur im Dialekt“ – Documentary records of past folk culture in dialect" at the Institute of Slavic Studies at the University of Klagenfurt, 1988 catering trade examinations.

Special achievements: Introduction of a new methodology in approaching dialectological field work. Publications: numerous articles in scholarly magazines, monographs, reviews, adaptations and editing old folk texts, ascertaining authorship (1992), more than 85 scholarly presentations at home and abroad, 120 video presentations at home and abroad (A, SLO, I, D, Japan), books: Andrej ©uster Drabosnjak. Zbrana bukovni¹ka besedila I-II (1990, 1992), Drabosnjakova komedija od zgubleniga sina (1992), from 1994 editor of the "Dialektdokumentationen - Documentaries in dialect" series, i.e. dialectal video films, two or three versions each with accompanying pamphlets: "Dialekt unter der Vertatscha, "Mühlen und Sägen – The dialect in the shadow of the Vertatscha. Mills and Sawmills" (1994), "Barbara, Luzia, hilf ... Wassermühlen – Barbara, Luzia, help us ...
